Mike and I met in Manila in 2008.  I was photographically flailing and struggling to figure out what my vision was.  But even back then, Mike seemed to have a pretty clear idea of what kind of photographer he was and how he communicated visually.  And that has only grown over the last four years.

His story, Kids of Hate and Love, is a wonderful window into skate culture and is beautifully and sensitively shot.
