Street kids Huffing glue in Kenya. 2007.
RIP hasselblad 500 series. That camera helped me become the photographer I am today. I don’t shoot squares anymore but there was something so fun about it back in the day. I don’t think i’ve ever used a camera with a more satisfying shutter sound. KAAAACHUANK

In December I photographed professional spartan racer Hobie Call on a very cold and windy day out at Stansbury Island for Men’s Journal. This dude is an animal. It was probably in the mid 30’s when we took this picture.

Levi Rogers used to be one of my best friends until he started roasting coffee. Now he is my dealer. Our relationship has changed significantly and he always wants to come in and “just have one cup with me” every time he drops it off. Its very uncomfortable and i’m not sure what to do about it.

Levi is in the process of starting a boutique coffee roasting company called “La Barba” which in swahili means “Chain smoking coffee roaster”. I went over to his house yesterday to watch him roast (and potentially score some beans). Levi and Tim built a homemade roaster that is working quite well. While there weren’t people sitting around in their underwear weighing beans, there was a cocaine scale that measures in grams so that was cool. Levi is going to start selling coffee in the next month or so. If you are interested, hit up labarba.Levi@gmail
