I photographed the BYU animation department for the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Shooting massive group portraits is really difficult so I had the inspired idea while trying to make order out of chaos to just embrace the chaos and pile everybody up on the ground. Read the awesome article here.
I swear this will be the last time I post this. There are about 20 zines left for sale over here. Check it out! Hey everybody, after the first edition of the zine sold out in one day, I felt bad because a lot of people wanted to get their hands on it and weren’t able to so I worked with Dustin to design a new cover color for a second edition of the zine. If you missed it the first time around, this is a 60 page zine made up of photographs from my ongoing project about Mormon culture and history in Utah. The project is nowhere near done but I wanted to put something together so I could feel like I actually accomplished something in my life. Also, it’s nice to hold something in your hands. The zine is 60 pages in a hand numbered edition of 50 just like the last one. First ten orders will get a 4x6 with the zine. I kept the price as low as I could while still breaking even. LDS General Conference. Twice a year the Mormon Church holds a “General Conference” where thousands and thousands of LDS people descend upon downtown SLC to hear revelations and teaching from their church president who they believe is a living prophet.

Unrelated but I shot 80 percent of yesterday with my x100 that I just got two days ago. It’s got some quirks but it is pretty damn fun to use and the image quality is pretty incredible.

working on a zine right now for the kickstarter supporters of my Mormon culture project. I’m going to make 50 of them and probably throw them online for super duper cheap if anybody is into that sort of thing.
