Taxi Park, Gulu Uganda. 2008.
n honor of the Hasselblad 500 series which was killed off today, I’ll post a couple square photos. I have so many memories with those cameras. I bought my first one because that is what all the cool skate photographers were using at the time. I took it to Africa and found myself as a photographer in 2007 as I wandered around with a light meter and a sack of film, shooting portraits of people and scenes. I had no agenda really and no idea what I was doing but when I got home and developed all those squares, it changed the way I thought about myself as a photographer. RIP hassy.
An IDP camp in Northern Uganda, circa 2007.

Pre-race meal. From Iron Dad.
In case you were drinking beer in a backyard yesterday and not in front of a computer (like me) I put a new project up on my website. Iron Dad.
Volunteers lather my dad with sunscreen in the transition area before the marathon section of the Memorial Herman Texas Iron Man. See the rest of the project here.
I have a new project about my old man doing the Memorial Hermann Texas Iron Man race a couple weeks ago. I’m super proud of him and this project. Holler!
More motocross stuff. Just playing with the new flash. Not sure how I feel about these.
